The Oregon Republican Party offers our condolences to the families, friends, and communities of three Oregonians who lost their lives in a small plane crash near Augusta, Montana earlier this month. The plane carrying Donnie Long of Forest Grove, David Garvin of Springfield, and Dan Steele of Forest Grove went down for reasons unknown in the Scapegoat Wilderness area, and all three men lost their lives in the accident. They were bound from Pullman, Washington to a rally featuring former President Donald J. Trump in Montana when their plane crashed. FAA is investigating the accident.
While thoughts and prayers will not bring these men back to their families and their communities, we pray for the grace of comfort in such a terrible loss. We hope that their sudden and shocking passing will bring their communities together as they continue the legacy of these community-minded men in supporting 4-H youth, holiday toy drives, veterans, and the principles of patriotism and freedom for all Americans.
Rest in peace Donnie Long, David Garvin, and Dan Steele.
