Joint Statement from Brown Recall Leaders Urging Circulation of Both Petitions

Salem, OR – Today, the Oregon Republican Party has released the following statement:

#Oregon11 Standing Up For Oregon Voters Right To Have a Say on HB 2020Today, leaders of the two Kate Brown Recall petition efforts, while remaining separately organized, managed and led, officially announced that they are encouraging all of their petition circulators to support both recall petitions, countering media narratives suggesting that the two efforts are somehow in conflict with each other.

“Kate Brown’s policies have become so unpopular and her leadership has become so tyrannical that she has triggered not just one, but two recall efforts,” said Michael Cross, Chief Petitioner for one of the two recall efforts. “We want to make it as easy as possible for voters to support both recall efforts, so I am urging our great grassroots volunteers to carry and offer both recall petitions."

Most circulators of the Oregon GOP-backed petition have already been circulating both petitions. As the recall efforts reach their last month of signature gathering, the number of people wishing to sign has been exceeding the supply of volunteers collecting signatures, so circulators are working overtime to reach out to voters in every corner of the state. Circulators are reminding voters that they may sign each petition once. A list of locations to sign can be found here =>

“Kate Brown has abused the office of governor and failed the people of Oregon. On her watch all of the most damaging and controversial legislation has been declared an “emergency” because the Governor is clearly afraid of letting voters have the final say on her policies. When challenged, she has resorted to threats, intimidation, and even police action to crush dissent,” said Oregon GOP Chairman, Bill Currier, the other Chief Petitioner.

“Oregonians have had enough of her corrupt leadership, which is why people of all political persuasions are lining up to sign the recall petition. Voters will have the final say at the ballot box on Kate Brown’s future and that of so many of the state’s abused and ignored citizens.”

Michael Cross is the chief petitioner for the Recall Petition campaign which will feature information on its website regarding the circulating of both petitions shortly.
