Your vote matters in Oregon. Here's why....

Wilsonville, OR - Oregon Republican Party Chairman Bill Currier issued a statement Monday urging Republicans to get their votes in:

Chairman Bill Currier More than a third of all Oregonians weren’t even born the last time a Republican served as our state’s governor. It’s been 14 long years since a Republican has won statewide office in our state. In that time, we’ve seen Ruling Democrats grow more corrupt, less accountable, and more out of the mainstream. We now stand on the cusp of electing several Republican candidates to statewide office, bringing in dynamic new Republican leadership, and sounding the end of corrupt, pay-to-play cronyism, lavish waste, and gross incompetence that has drowned our state in big government spending and taxes, while the policies they fund fail. Haven’t we had enough? Wouldn’t you change all this with your vote if you could?

Just because it has been a long time since a Republican has won statewide doesn’t mean that we haven’t had some close elections. In 2000, Al Gore won Oregon by just 6,765 votes. Republican Kevin Mannix came up 36,219 votes short in 2002, and most recently Chris Dudley lost by just 22,238 votes in 2010 out of 1.4 million cast or 1.5%. Here we are again. We are close in many races. Let’s not let another close one slip away.

Everyone knows about the Presidential Election, but in Oregon there are some very important races that can bring a whole new direction to our state, which is sorely needed. Dr. Bud Pierce is running to Governor to unseat the hugely disappointing incumbent Kate Brown. Dennis Richardson needs your vote to win the Secretary of State race over the scandal-plagued abuser-of-power Brad Avakian. Jeff Gudman will make every penny count and is the only actual Treasurer running for State Treasurer. Daniel Crowe is racing to oust shaky incumbent Attorney General Ellen Rosenbloom. For more each of these candidates, visit A full list of Republican candidates for state office can be found here => Republican Candidates Oh and don’t forget to Vote NO on Measure 97 - the largest tax increase in Oregon history and the crown jewel of economic ruin courtesy of the Democrats. (

What difference can Bud, Dennis, Jeff, Daniel, and our great state legislative candidates make in Salem? ALL THE DIFFERENCE, after 30+ years of corrupt, pay-to-play, insider elitist Democrat-run government has ruined public confidence in our state’s institutions and has left Oregon with high taxes, big spending, and huge problems unsolved. Vote and make that difference.

Of course the Liberal Mainstream Media is going to campaign for their terrible candidates and declare them the winner as soon as possible, but don’t let them decide the election for you. VOTE and we will fight to make sure your vote counts.

Oregon Secretary of State Jeanne Atkins This November, the Oregon Secretary of State and the Democratic Party of Oregon (DPO) have gone one step further - they are now trying to label Republican Get Out The Vote phone calls "scam" and told actually told Republican voters to ignore them, getting some national news attention:

  1. Breitbart
  2. PJ Media
  3. ORP Press Release

Sounds just like the textbook definition of "voter suppression."  Is this a "rigged" election, Oregon-style?  It all does prove that the shameless Democrat Machine is worried they will lose power and will do anything to keep down votes for Republican candidates. Don’t let them succeed. Vote and make sure other Republican supporters you know do too!

Bottom line: YOUR VOTE MATTERS!  Provided you take the time to vote by the DEADLINE OF 8PM TUESDAY NOVEMBER 8th.  When you do vote, please remember to cast your vote for our great Republican candidates. By voting now YOU can help create the wave that will sweep the corrupt Democrats out of office and set our state and nation on a new and better path. Again, you've only got until 8pm Tuesday November 8th to get your ballot in and make all this happen!

The Oregon Republican Party is the state’s arm of the Republican National Committee.
